Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) has issued a notice regarding the class 11th final exam. As per the announcement, Class 11 examination and promotion of all the students who have filed up online applications for the examination to Class 12 for the academic session 2021-22.
The official statement released by the board stated that “The Higher Secondary First Year Examination, 2021 scheduled to be held from 04/05/2021 which aw postponed has now been cancelled and all the students, who have filled up online applications for the same are hereby declared to have been promoted to the HS 2nd year class for the academic session 2021-2022,”.
Earlier this month, the board has announced that “Due to prevailing COVID-19 situation, the Higher Secondary final examinations 2021 scheduled to be held from 11 May, 2021, has been postponed until further order,”.
The Board of Secondary Education Assam (SEBA) had also postponed the High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) or Matric exams in view of the COVID-19 situation. Educational institutions in Assam are currently shut due to the rising number of COVID-19 cases in the state. The state government had directed the institutions to continue teaching-learning online.
