In Assam, the Education department has told Deputy Commissioners to close physical classes upto eight standard till 8th of next month in the state.
This order is to be implemented in those districts where minimum of 100 positive cases have been reported.
However, online classes to be continued for students. Meanwhile, the Public Health Engineering department is constantly engaging in sanitization works.
The Commissioner – Secretary of the PHE department Siddhartha Singh told AIR that along with sanitization, the department is also carrying out awareness drive on health and hygiene.
