The Assam government has finally decided to cancel the Assam board exam 2021 for Class 10 and 12. Both AHSEC and SEBA board exams were scheduled to be held from May 11, 2021. This decision has been taken in view of the increasing number of COVID-19 cases in the state.
The evaluation criteria will be formulated within a week and Assam board results will be declared by July 31, said Education Minister Ranoj Pegu. He also added that the two committees will be formed to decide evaluation criteria for Class 10 and Class 12 students. The SEBA and AHSEC result 2021 will now be prepared on the basis of evaluation criteria to promote students to the next Class.
On Monday, students from Assam had moved to the Supreme Court seeking cancellation of Assam Board class 10, 12 exams. The Assam cabinet on Wednesday had recommended that the board exams should be cancelled due to the COVID-19 situation.
