The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has extended registration last date for Chartered Accountancy (CA) Foundation December Examination. Candidates who are left behind and interested to write CA Foundation December Examination can register now till Monday, 16 August. However, all such candidates will be required to send Class XII Marksheet to Additional Secretary, Examination, ICAI on or before September 10.
The CA Foundation Examination administered by ICAI is for those candidates who want to pursue professional CA career right after completion of Class 12. The candidates qualified in the CA Foundation Examination further move to CA Intermediate and CA Final Examination.
This year due to Covid-19 pandemic crisis ICAI has offered various extensions in registration and exam dates. Due to heavy rains in Maharashtra and adjoining areas many students were unable to reach examination center in July 24. For all such candidates affected with flood across Maharashtra ICAI has postponed Examination in the state.
The official notification reads- “ICAI has been informed about the adverse weather conditions in the cities of Ichalkaranji, Kolhapur, Ratnagiri, Sangli and Satara. Due to exceptional natural calamities and circumstances beyond the control of the examinees of the entry-level examination, it has been decided that an opportunity be given to the examinees who are absent in the Foundation examination, Paper – 1, Principles and Practice of Accounting only held on July 24, 2021, to write the said paper on a date which will be intimated after the conclusion of Foundation Examination i.e. July 30, 2021.”
