The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has revised the Class 10 marks submission dates. The start date for uploading of marks is May 20, 2021, which remains the same as announced earlier. However, the board has extended the last date of marks submission till June 30.
The last date for internal assessment marks submission was June 11, 2021, which has now been extended to June 30, 2021. In the last notification, the board was targeting June 20, 2021, as the CBSE 10th result 2021 release date. But now, it will be changed as the last date to submit the marks has been extended.
This year, the CBSE board is going to declare CBSE 10th result 2021 without exams. Students will be allotted marks as per the internal assessment and board’s new marking scheme. On May 18, CBSE revised the marks submission deadline for the internal assessment of Class 10 students. CBSE took the decision the ensure the safety and health of the teachers amid the pandemic. It has asked the results committee that it may make its own schedule based on the scheme provided by the Board.
The board released an official notice on its website. Around 18 lakh class 10 students will be subject to this system of assessment. “Delhi government had written to the CBSE to extend the deadline to submit marks and we had provided them with the required flexibility. But, we are noticing constant disturbance across the country due to COVID-19 and it is only logical to extend the deadline and not risk stakeholders’ lives,” stated Sanyam Bhardwaj, controller of examination, CBSE
“Since we have already released guidelines for class 11 admissions, schools are free to start online classes for the students. There will be a slight delay in declaring the class 10 results, but it is not going to impact the students’ academic cycle,” Bhardwaj added.
