The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) has announced that CLAT 2021 will be held on July 23 (2 pm to 4 pm) in pen and paper format. The consortium has announced that the CLAT 2021 exam will be held following strict COVID 19 safety protocols. The CLAT application form 2021 will be closed on June 13, 2021.
In the notification released today, the consortium has also announced some changes to the CLAT LLM test pattern. The details are given below.
CLAT LLM will not have the essay section this year.
- The number of questions in the objective section of PG-CLAT has been increased from 100 to 120.
- The test paper will be of 120 marks instead of 150 as announced earlier.
- The test duration will be 120 minutes.
No changes have been made to the UG-CLAT exam pattern and syllabus. It will continue to have 150 objective-type questions, which will be asked from comprehension passages of 300-450 words each.
The consortium has said that in view of the pandemic and to avoid long travel to the test centers, candidates will be given a chance to reset their test center preferences after the last date of submission of the application form. It has also advised candidates to get vaccinated.
