The Directorate of School Education, Government of Delhi has notified the annual school calendar for the academic year 2024-25 for all government and government-aided schools in the national capital. The next academic session will begin on April 1, 2025.
After discussion on the modalities of the admission process for 2024-25 on February 1, the school annual calendar 2024-25 was prepared. The Delhi school annual calendar was prepared on February 1 with all the deputy directors of education and the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD).
It instructed all heads of schools to ensure that the 220 working days are completed before announcing holidays and academic sessions. Declaration of the list of selected children and the waiting list for admission will take place on March 23, after the drawing of lots is conducted on March 21. On the same day, DoE will commence the admission process for Nursery, KG, and Class 1. Admission of children placed on the waiting list, if the seat is left vacant, will be processed from April 2 to April 6.
For students from classes 6 to 9, their online admissions will begin in three phases that are, the first phase from April 1 to April 8 up to 5 pm, the second phase from May 1 to May 20 up to 5 pm, and the third phase from July 1 to July 20 up to 5 pm. Submission of verification of documents for admission for class 6th to class 9th in allotted schools will be in three phases that are, the first phase from April 23 to April 30, the second phase from June 11 to June 25, and the third phase from August 2 to August 9.
