The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has announced the opening of applications for paid internships aimed at students enrolled in Engineering and Science programs at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
These internships will be hosted at the Defence Research and Development Laboratory in Hyderabad, a leading facility dedicated to the research and development of cutting-edge technologies related to missile systems for the Indian Armed Forces.
DRDL is seeking applications from Indian nationals who possess a strong academic background for these six-month paid internships.
Eligible candidates include those studying Engineering at the undergraduate level or Engineering/Physical Science at the postgraduate level.
DRDO internship: Vacancy details:
- Electronics/Electronics and Communication Engineering/Embedded Systems/VLSI Engineering/Electronics and Instrumentation/Electrical Engineering: 58 vacancies.
- Engineering – Mechanical/Chemical/Aerospace/Production/Material/Safety/Instrumentation/Metallurgical/Ceramic: 75 vacancies.
- Physics/Chemistry/Mathematics and Allied Science: 8 vacancies.
- Computer Science and Engineering (CSE, AI, Cybersecurity and related fields): 24 vacancies.
- Total: 165 vacancies.
- Interns will receive a monthly stipend of ₹5,000.
- Only candidates enrolled in regular courses at accredited institutions will be eligible for these internships. They must be in the final year of their respective programs.
- Additionally, candidates should have a commendable academic record, achieving at least 60 percent marks or an equivalent CGPA. Applicants must be under 28 years of age.
- Eligible candidates may be shortlisted based on an interview/interaction and their academic performance in qualifying degrees (average of completed semesters/years).
- The deadline for submitting applications is July 14. Candidates who are shortlisted will be notified about the interview on July 22, with interviews scheduled for July 26.
- Interviews will commence on August 1.
