In contrast to the previous phases where scores from the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) were utilized, this round will focus on Class 12 marks for determining eligibility and admissions.
As per a statement released by the University Registrar, the mop-up round has been established to offer a chance to eligible candidates who were unable to secure admission previously. The application process for this round will commence on September 4 and will remain open until September 7.
The university will disclose the list of available seats across various colleges and programs on its admission portal (www.admission.uod.ac.in) at 5 pm on September 4. The allocation process by colleges will start on September 8, with the final date for fee payment by selected candidates set for September 13.
Candidates who are already registered on the CSAS (UG)-2025 portal but have not yet been admitted to any program can log into their dashboards and apply under the mop-up tab. Additionally, those who have not registered previously may also apply through the admission portal, provided they pay a one-time mop-up fee of ₹1,000, in addition to the standard registration fee.
The fee structure has been established at ₹250 for candidates from the UR (unreserved), OBC (other backward class) (non-creamy layer), and EWS (economically weaker section) categories, while it is set at ₹100 for applicants from SC (scheduled caste), ST (scheduled tribe), and PwBD (persons with benchmark disabilities) categories.
Colleges will confirm the eligibility of candidates, along with their category certificates and other necessary documents, prior to finalizing admissions. The Delhi University has also made it clear that admissions during this round will not be allocated to any supernumerary quota seats, with the exception of the PwBD category.
Admissions will be awarded solely based on the marks obtained in Class 12 or an equivalent qualification.
The minimum eligibility criteria and specific requirements for each program, which include subject combinations and the “best of four” criteria (with one language being mandatory), will be enforced as detailed in the university’s Bulletin of Information.
The university has characterized the mop-up round as a unique opportunity and the final admission process for the 2025-26 academic session. Students are encouraged to verify that their academic information and documents are correct and up-to-date before submitting their applications.
“Admissions for the mop-up round are exclusively available through the official portal https://urbanisation.uod.ac.in,” stated the Registrar in the announcement.
