The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has released the academic calendar for 2021-22. As per the calendar, the classes for all first-year technical courses except the post-graduate diploma in management (PGDM) ones will begin on September 15, 2021.
The first round of counseling will close on August 31 and classes of technical courses, including BTech in engineering, will commence on September 1, 2021, for first-year students, it will begin from September 15. The classes for existing and new students in standalone PGDM or PGCM institutions will commence from July 1, 2021.
Including this, AICTE has also fixed the last date to grant affiliation by universities to technical institutions till July 15, 2021. As per the announcement the Council will grant approval to technical institutions, standalone PGDM/PGCM institutions, and institutes offering Open and Distance Learning (ODL) courses or online courses latest by June 30, 2021.
The last date for admission to ODL or online courses for the first session will be September 1 and the second session is till February 1, 2022.
