The registrations for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) has been postponed by the Institute. Now, registration for the GATE 2025 will begin on August 28 (Wednesday). Earlier the registration for the exam was to be started from today (August 24). As of now, the application will be closed on September 26.
But, once the login window gets active, candidates can fill out the application form at the official website — gate2025.iitr.ac.in. This year, the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee (IIT-R) will organise the aptitude test. Before you register, here is what you need to know about GATE:
GATE 2025: Eligibility
Candidates who are currently studying in the third or higher years of any undergraduate degree programme or who have completed any government-approved degree programme in engineering, technology, architecture, science, commerce, arts, and humanities are eligible to appear for the exam 2025.
GATE 2025: Registration
The registration for the engineering exam will start on August 28 and will end on September 26, without late fees. With late fees, the last date for the registration is October 7. GATE is a national-level examination that primarily tests the comprehensive understanding of various undergraduate subjects in engineering, technology, architecture, science, commerce, arts, and humanities. The examination for the GATE will be held between February 1 to 16.
