The Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) has uploaded the city examination intimation for CET Group D 2023 on the official website at hssc.gov.in. The National Test Agency (NTA) is conducting the Common Eligibility Test (CET) for various Group D posts in Haryana on October 21 and 22.
The CET 2023 for Group D posts will be held in two shifts on both days. The first shift will start from 10 AM and end at 11:45 AM while the second shift will be from 3 PM to 4:45 PM. The HSSC said it will soon upload the admit card on the official website, hssc.gov.in.
Candidates appearing for the examination will have to carry two passport-size photographs with the date of birth mentioned on these and an original photo ID proof such as Aadhaar card, driver’s licence, voter card and PAN Card, along with the admit card.
Exam Pattern
The CET 2023 will be divided into two parts. Part A will carry 75% marks and will have questions about general awareness, reasoning, quantitative ability, English and Hindi. Part B will have the remaining 25% marks. It will deal with history, current affairs, literature, geography, environment and culture of Haryana. The questions will be Class 10 level.
The CET 2023 will carry 95% weightage while 5% weightage will be given on the basis of socio-economic criteria. An applicant shall be entitled to 5% weightage provided that no-one from his family is serving as government employee. Also, the candidate seeking socio-economic marks should not have annual family income greater than Rs 80,000.
These marks will also be allotted to a widow, a person (first or second child) whose father had died before attaining the age of forty-two years or an individual (first or the second child) whose father had died before the applicant had attained the age of fifteen years. If the applicant belongs to such a denotified tribe (Vimukt Jatis and Tapriwas Jatis) or nomadic tribe of the state which is neither in SC nor OBC list will also be entitled to 5% weightage.
Minimum qualifying marks
Candidates belonging from general category will have to get 50% marks (excluding socio-economic criteria weightage) while those from reserve categories 40% marks to qualify the CET 2023 for Group D posts in Haryana government.
