The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) changes 30 CA examination cities. These changes has made due to coronavirus pandemic. The CA examination is set to be administered from 21 November 2020. A total of 4,71,619 students shall write CA Examination across 1085 test sites.
According to ICAI, an average 147 students will write CA examination at each Examination center.
The CA Examination Admit Cards are already released. There will be no new admit cards. Old admit cards will be valid to appear at newly allotted CA Exam Centers. The candidates are advised to check Change in CA Examination Center from official website http://icai.org/
The changes are made after many CA aspirants took to social media writing gradiences. Many said, the exam center is too far or falls in a different state. Some informed that the exam center falls in a Covid-19 containment zone. Others said their exam center is allotted in under repair sites or workshops etc. The issue was reported over many newspapers and news websites after which ICAI has made the decision for change in exam sites.
ICAI is administering authority for CA profession in India. The agency claims that on any given day approximately 152, 000 students will write exam across various centers. The institute has given Opt-Out choice to candidates in uneven circumstances for example if a student feel sick during examination or if a center falls in Covid-19 containment zone during the exam period.
