Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Amritsar has launched its two-year Executive MBA programme in a non-residential hybrid mode with an intake of 40 working professionals.
The first batch of the EMBA comprises professionals with experience ranging from 3-20 plus years and come from prominent organizations in various sectors like BFSI, IT, Consulting, Hospitality, Retailing, Media and Entertainment, etc.
The first batch of EMBA was inaugurated in the presence of Suresh Kumar, chief principal secretary to the Punjab Chief Minister; Sanjay Gupta, chairman, Board of Governors, IIM Amritsar and Nagarajan Ramamoorthy, director of IIM Amritsar.
Addressing the 40 working professionals of the first EMBA batch with job experience ranging from three to more than 20 years, Professor Nagarajan Ramamoorthy, Director, IIM Amritsar, shared, “Our institution will ensure that business leaders, as well as accomplished alumni, endow the executives with expertise that would substantively benefit their current organisations.”

He further added that the selection criteria for these executives were rigorous as they factored in holistic accomplishments from academics and work life.
