The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Calcutta has received donation of Rs. 3.24 Crore from the 27th Post Graduate Programme (PGP) students. The IIM-C PGP Batch of 1992 has raised this fund from among batch members to pay back to their alma mater. The business school will spend this fund in the development of state-of-the-art academic and infrastructure facilities.
The endowment will be utilized in the establishment of an endowed chair professorship along with augmenting classrooms for pedagogical flexibility.
The IIM Calcutta has recognized the contributions by renaming the PGPEx classroom L-52 in the New Academic Block as ‘Class of 1992 – 27 FOREVER Seminar Hall’. The renaming ceremony was inaugurated by Professor Subir Bhattacharya, Director In-Charge, IIM Calcutta.
