The Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Mohali (IISER) Mohali is inviting applications for the summer research program 2024. The application link is available at the official website at iisermohali.ac.in.
Candidates have time till March 22 to apply for the research program. The summer program will run between May 15 and July 22. The minimum period of summer research is six weeks and the maximum period is eight weeks.
The application can be submitted through an online form at the official website of IISER. While filling out the form one should be careful about providing all information correctly. Before confirmation of selection, tentatively offered candidates will be required to furnish documents to verify the information provided by them in the online application form.
This summer research program 2024 will have two components:
- Research: which the student will carry out in consultation with his/her supervisor, and
- Interdisciplinary Course Work: this will involve a series of lectures to be delivered by scientists working in various fields.
At the end of the summer program, students are required to submit a report about their research approved by their supervisor. All students who complete the summer programme will receive a certificate from IISER Mohali.
Candidates should remember that IISER Mohali will not provide any other stipend/ fellowship/ financial support for food, travel, etc. Students may avail of services of IISER Mohali hostel mess on a payment basis. IISER Mohali will provide free-of-cost accommodation to the students in Category C. Other students will have to pay a nominal accommodation charge. In the application process, applicants having their scholarship to support themselves financially toward pursuing summer programs will be grouped in category A. Some applicants may be supported, on a competitive basis, through SSR-SERB grants of individual faculty members, who will be grouped as category B, and all other applicants will be in category C.
