The Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur has introduced postgraduate programmes in cybersecurity. The three new programmes – MTech, MS by Research, and BT-MT Dual Degree — will commence from August next year for which admissions will be held during the April-May 2021 cycle. The newly introduced PG programmes in Cybersecurity will be conducted by the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE). Students in MTech and MS by Research in Cybersecurity will be admitted through GATE score /industry sponsorship and from Defence and other strategic government bodies. However, BT-MT dual programme will remain open to the institute students only.
