The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Mandi has commenced registrations for a series of short-term certificate courses scheduled to take place during the Winter Break of 2025. These programs, facilitated by the Centre for Continuing Education (CCE), will occur on campus starting from the second week of December.
As stated by the institute, these courses are designed for students, researchers, educators, and professionals seeking to gain practical experience in specific technical fields. Participants will be expected to attend on-campus sessions and partake in hands-on activities as part of their coursework.

CCE has identified three short-term courses for the forthcoming winter session:
- Electric and Hybrid Vehicles
This course encompasses the basics of electric mobility, vehicle systems, hybrid components, and battery technology.

In statements released by the institute, Director Laxmidhar Behera indicated that the winter courses aim to assist learners in engaging with practical problem-solving in emerging technological domains. Dr. Tushar Jain, Head of CCE, remarked that the programs are structured to provide concise, application-focused modules that align with contemporary research and industry trends.
