Minister for Education Ramesh ‘Nishank’ Pokhriyal announced that he had advised the National Testing Agency (NTA) to postpone the April session of JEE. The decision was taken due to rising COVID-19 cases throughout the country.
The NTA, on the advice of the Education Minister, has decided to postpone the JEE (MAIN) – 2021 April session due to the COVID-19 situation. As per the notice, the revised dates for the JEE (Main) – 2021 April session will be announced later on and at least 15 days before the examination.
The NTA has already conducted the first two sessions of the JEE Main exam this year in the months of February and March. The April session JEE (Main) exam has for now been postponed. The April session of JEE (Mains) exam was scheduled to be conducted on 27th, 28th and 30th April.
Ramesh Pokhriyal, the education minister wrote on Twitter that “Given the current Covid-19 pandemic situation, I have advised NTA to postpone the JEE Main 2021 April session. I would like to reiterate the safety of our students and their academic careers and my prime concerns right now,”. As per the JEE Mains April postponed notification 2021, students are advised to utilize this time to improve their JEE Main exam preparation 2021. They are also advised to take JEE Main 2021 practice tests on the NTA Abhyas App.
