Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) has commenced the online application procedure for admission to its undergraduate (UG) and Certificate of Proficiency (COP) programs for the academic session 2025-26, following the release of the CUET-UG 2025 results.
According to the official announcement, the application deadline is set for 11:50 pm on July 15. Interested applicants may submit their applications via the university’s admission portal — jnuee.jnu.ac.in — by logging in with their CUET-UG 2025 application number and date of birth.
The university has specified that only those candidates who participated in CUET-UG 2025 are eligible to apply for these programs.
Applicants can consult JNU’s e-prospectus for detailed information regarding the admission process, eligibility requirements, and seat matrix, which is accessible on both the admission portal and the main website http://www.jnu.ac.in.
JNU has encouraged candidates to carefully examine the eligibility criteria and admission guidelines prior to applying and to regularly check the official website for any updates.
In the meantime, the elected student union members at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) have entered the 12th day of their hunger strike on Tuesday, advocating for the automatic extension of hostel accommodations for research scholars who have received academic extensions to finalize their PhDs.
The Jawaharlal Nehru University Students’ Union (JNUSU) has strongly opposed a requirement introduced by the university administration, which mandates students to sign a declaration to maintain hostel access beyond their original PhD deadlines.
This year, a total of 13,54,699 candidates registered for the examination. Among them, 6,47,934 were female students, while 7,06,760 were male candidates, and five identified as third gender. Out of the total registrants, 10,71,735 candidates appeared for the exam — comprising 5,23,988 female candidates, 5,47,744 male candidates, and three third-gender candidates.
