The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced a rescheduling of the first shift examination for the Joint Central Scientific and Industrial Research – University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (Joint CSIR-UGC NET) for December 2024, which was originally set to take place on February 28 at Assam Down Town University in Guwahati.
The NTA stated, “Due to a technical issue, the examination for the subjects of Earth Sciences and Mathematical Sciences on February 28, 2025 (Shift 1 only) at Assam Down Town University, Guwahati, Assam has been cancelled.”
Details regarding the new date, time, and examination center for the rescheduled CSIR UGC NET will be provided shortly, as announced by the NTA.

The Joint CSIR UGC NET December 2024 examination commenced on February 28, covering subjects such as Mathematical Sciences, Earth Sciences, Atmospheric Sciences, Ocean Sciences, Planetary Sciences, and Chemical Sciences. The examinations for Life Sciences and Physical Sciences are scheduled for March 1 and 2, respectively, and will be conducted in two shifts: from 9 AM to 12 PM and from 3 PM to 6 PM.
