The Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board (KSEAB) has published the provisional timetable for the SSLC and II PUC Examinations – 1 and 2 for the year 2026. The schedules are available on the Board’s official website at kseab.karnataka.gov.in.
As per the tentative timetable for 2026, the Karnataka Class 10 board examinations are set to occur from March 18 to April 1. The examinations will begin with the first language papers on March 18, followed by subjects such as Mathematics and Sociology on March 20.
In contrast, the Class 12 examinations will commence earlier, starting on February 28 with Kannada and Arabic papers. The concluding exams for Class 12 are scheduled for March 17, encompassing a variety of vocational and elective subjects, including Hindustani Music, Electronics & Hardware, Apparels Made-ups & Home Furnishings, Information Technology, Retail, Automobile, Healthcare, and Beauty & Wellness.
According to an official announcement, students, parents, and the general public are invited to submit objections to the provisional timetables from September 20 to October 9, 2025.
Objections can be sent via email to chairpersonkscab@gmail.com, and a hard copy should also be directed to: chairperson, Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board, 6th Cross, Malleswaram, Bengaluru–560003, within the specified timeframe, as stated. The board has made it clear that any objections submitted after the deadline will not be taken into account.
Additionally, the Karnataka government has proposed a notable relaxation in the passing criteria for the Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) examination, decreasing the overall passing requirement from 35% to 33%. A draft notification released by the Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board (KSEAB) suggests reducing the minimum subject-wise passing mark from 35 percent to 30 percent and establishing an overall pass criterion of 33 percent average marks, which combines both internal and external assessments.
