The Madhusudan Law College, Cuttack one of the oldest law school in Odisha, India now become University. This institute is named after “Utkal Gaurav” Madhusudan Das. He was a legislator and journalist of the 19th century.
Madhusudan Law College adopted new name as Madhusudan Law University on Wednesday, 28 April 2021. Professor Kamaljeet Singh is appointed as Vice-Chancellor of the university. He said, ‘it is an opportunity for him to establish the institute as one of the best universities in the region’. Higher Education Minister Arun Kumar Sahoo was present during the ceremony.
“No institution can make any progress without the collective responsibility of the society. I, therefore, appeal to all stakeholders, particularly to all former principals, teachers and students of this great institution to extend their support and cooperation for the new university,” the new appointed Vice-Chancellor said while addressing the media.
