The Manipur government has cancelled the Class 10 and 12 board examinations 2021 on Wednesday due to the Covid-19 situation. The announcement was made by education minister S Rajen Singh announced the cancellation of the BoSEM (Class 12) and CoHSEM (Class 10) exam 2021 during a media briefing in Imphal.
In a notification, joint secretary of board secondary education S Mangijao said, “In view of the uncertain conditions due to Covid-19 pandemic and the feedback obtained from various stakeholders, it is hereby notified for information of all concerned that High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) examination 2021 is cancelled,”
Secretary Ch Biren Singh of CoHSEM announced that the “modus operandi of the award of marks, certificates of the students shall be done with due approval of the government,” the report added. The board has also suspended the offline classes in view of the COVID-19 situation in the state until further orders.
The state government constituted a 14-member committee to develop an evaluation mechanism for preparing the results.
