The State Common Entrance Test Cell Maharashtra has cancelled the Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT CET) 2024 which was scheduled to be held on May 5. The CET cell has canceled the MHT CET 2024 exam for the PCM group because of the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET-UG) scheduled on that date.
The MHT CET 2024 exam for Physics, Chemistry, and Math (PCM) was initially scheduled to take place from April 25 to 30 but was later rescheduled to May 2 to 17. However, due to the NEET 2024 exam on May 5, the MHT CET exam for that day has been canceled now. All other exam dates remain unchanged.
As per the official notice, candidates who want to change their MHT CET PCM date for personal reasons after receiving their admit card should send a request along with a copy of their NEET UG 2024 admit card to mhtcetpcm2024@gmail.com.
Candidates should either hold domicile status in Maharashtra or be born in the state to be eligible for MHT CET 2024. Additionally, they should have passed the Class 12 or equivalent examination with at least 50% aggregate marks from a recognized board. Those with a bachelor’s degree in mathematics are also eligible to appear for MHT CET PCM 2024.
MHT CET PCM 2024: Exam pattern
The MHT CET 2024 exam carries two sections including section 1 which covers physics, and chemistry, and section 2 covers mathematics. Candidates will get 90 minutes for each section to complete the exam. The total marks for the MHT CET PCM exam will be 200, with 100 marks for each section.
As per the marking scheme, physics, and chemistry sections will carry one mark for each correct answer and two marks will be awarded to mathematics subjects. There is no negative marking for incorrect answers.
