The National Testing Agency (NTA) announced the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) examination for admission in undergraduate medical courses to be held on August 1 (Sunday). As per the NTA notification, the NEET (UG) – 2021 will be conducted in 11 languages, including Hindi and English through Pen and Paper mode.
The NEET (UG), 2021, is going to be conducted by NTA for admission to MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BSMS, BUMS, and BHMS courses as per the relevant norms, guidelines, and regulations notified by the regulatory bodies concerned.
The notification has also added that a bulletin containing detailed information regarding the test, syllabus, eligibility criteria for age, reservation, categorization of seats, examination fee, cities of examination, state code will be available shortly when the submission of the application form for NEET (UG) starts.
About the exam
NEET is a nation-wide single entrance exam conducted by NTA for students who want admission to undergraduate medical and dental courses. Postgraduate courses are given admission thorough the entrance exam conducted by the National Board of Examination (NBE). The minimum NEET exam pass mark 2020 for the unreserved category was 134 and for NEET 2020 cut off for OBC, SC, and ST students, it was 107.
According to NEET 2021 Eligibility Criteria, a candidate who has passed or appearing for the class 12 exam can register for NEET. The upper age limit has been relaxed but candidates have to fulfill the lower age limit i.e. 17 years.
