The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has initiated the online application process for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Postgraduate (NEET PG) 2024 examination. The link to register for NEET PG is activated at the official website at natboard.edu.in. NEET PG exam 2024 is going to be held on June 23. Previously, the exam was set for July 7, 2024. Eligible candidates can register between April 16 (3 pm) and May 6 (11:55 pm).
Eligibility
— Candidates must have completed an MBBS degree or provisional MBBS pass certificate issued by the university affiliated with the Medical Council of India (MCI).
— Medical graduates should have a permanent or provisional registration certificate issued either by MCI or the State Medical Council (SMC).
— A 12-month rotatory internship must be completed by aspirants
— The cut-off date for completion of internship towards eligibility for NEET PG 2024 is August 15, 2024
Application Fees
As per the latest updates, NBEMS has revised the exam fee for NEET PG. The fee has been reduced by Rs 750 for candidates of all categories. The revised fee for General and OBC candidates is Rs 3,500, while for SC, ST, and PwD candidates, the fee is Rs 2,500.
The NEET PG exam consists of 200 multiple-choice questions (MCQs), with each question carrying 4 marks. Therefore, the total marks for the exam amount to 800. Candidates are awarded 4 marks for each correct answer. However, for every incorrect response, one mark is deducted as a penalty.
According to the revised schedule, the results of the postgraduate entrance examination will be declared on July 15, 2024 and the counselling process will start on August 5 and will conclude on October 15, 2024. The new academic session will begin on September 16, and the last date for joining is October 21, 20
