The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has removed two seats from the stray vacancy round of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Examination Undergraduate Counselling (NEET-UG). The decision to remove the seats has been made as per Court decisions.
One of each MBBS seat of the open category has been removed from Lakshmi Narayana Institute of Medical Sciences, Puducherry, and Mahatma Gandhi Medical College, Pondicherry. These seats have been removed from the seat matrix during the allotment process of the special stray vacancy round of NEET UG counselling.
Meanwhile, the Counselling Committee has also added multiple seats in the seat matrix of special stray vacancy round of UG counselling 2024 in MBBS, BDS, and BSc Nursing at colleges including Symbiosis Medical College for Women, Pune, Government Medical College Machilipatnam, Datta Meghe Medical College, Nagpur and College of Nursing, BHU Varanasi. The candidates eligible to participate in the stray vacancy round can fill choices against the newly added seats in the medical colleges.
Also, the candidates who have been allotted seats in the MCC NEET UG special stray vacancy round will not be able to participate in the special stray vacancy round of the state UG counselling 2024 process.
