The National Testing Agency (NTA) has published the provisional answer key for the National Eligibility-cum Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG). Candidates who participated in this year’s NEET UG examination can download the provisional answer key from the official website – neet.nta.nic.in. Alongside the NEET answer keys for all question paper codes, the NTA has also made available the scanned copies of individual response sheets.
NEET UG took place on May 4 for 22.7 lakh candidates. The examination was conducted at 4,750 centers in 557 cities throughout India, as well as at 14 centers internationally.
Candidates will also have the opportunity to contest the NEET UG 2025 answer key. The window for raising objections is open until June 5. Candidates can submit their challenges regarding the answer key and their recorded responses only after paying Rs 200 for each answer key or question they wish to contest. The fee for challenging the NEET UG answer key is non-refundable. No challenges will be accepted without the receipt of the processing fee, and challenges will not be accepted through any other means.
Steps to Verify the NEET UG 2025 Provisional Answer Key
Step 1: Visit the NTA NEET UG website – neet.nta.nic.in
Step 2: Access the section related to the provisional answer key challenge
Step 3: Enter your application number and date of birth to log in
Step 4: Carefully review the provisional answer key, and if you identify any errors, proceed to raise your objections.
The challenges will be evaluated by an expert committee, and based on their review, the final answer key will be released within a few days. Candidates who raise objections will not be notified of whether their challenge has been accepted or rejected. They must check the final answer key to determine if the question has been dropped or not.
This year, the NEET UG entrance examination for admission to undergraduate medical and allied courses, including MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BUMS, BHMS, and BSMS, is being conducted. The exam pattern for NEET 2025 has been updated to reflect the standards of the pre-COVID era. The optional questions have been eliminated. The NEET UG question paper consists of 180 mandatory questions covering physics, chemistry, and biology (botany and zoology). The total duration of the examination is 180 minutes.
In the previous year, the NEET UG examination took place on May 5, accommodating over 24 lakh candidates. The provisional answer key was published on May 29, with the opportunity to challenge it available until May 31. The results were announced on June 4. Following a controversy, a re-examination was conducted on June 23. The challenge period for the provisional answer key of the re-exam was from June 28 to June 29. The revised results were subsequently released on July 26.
