The National Testing Agency (NTA) will re-conduct the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET)- UG on June 23. The decision comes after the committee formed by the Agency informed the Supreme Court that 1,563 students, who were given grace marks, will be allowed to take a re-test on June 23. Additionally, the apex court issued notices to Centre, NTA on plea for CBI probe into allegations of question paper leak, and other irregularities in NEET UG 2024.
Further the Economic Offences Unit (EOU) in Bihar, which is probing allegations of a paper leak in the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) held on May 5, has said its investigation is “suggestive of a paper leak”.
Speaking to The Indian Express, Additional Director General of Police, EOU, N H Khan said, “We had asked a set of questions to the National Testing Agency, which organises NEET. Our team has just received answers. We may have some follow-up questions. We have been working on some contacts we have received in the course of our investigation, which is very much suggestive of a paper leak.”
