National Testing Agency, NTA has started the registration process for GAT-B/BET 2021 from July 7, 2021, onwards. The registration process for Graduate Aptitude Test- Biotechnology (GAT-B)/ Biotechnology Eligibility Test (BET) will end on July 31, 2021. Candidates can apply online through the official site of nta.ac.in. NTA conducts the Graduate Aptitude Test-Biotechnology (GAT-B) on behalf of the Department of Biotechnology.
Candidates can apply for GAT-B/BET or both -2021 through “Online” mode only. The examination for GAT B will be conducted from 9 am to 12 noon and the BET exams will be conducted from 3 pm to 6 pm. The exam will be a computer-based test and the question paper will be in English. The entrance test of GAT-B 2021 will be conducted on August 14, 2021.
GAT-B 2021 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates who wish to attempt the GAT-B 2021 must check the eligibility criteria before filling the application form. The GAT-B eligibility criteria 2021 is the minimum age and academic qualification that a candidate must fulfill to be eligible to apply for admission in various DBT supported programs offered by universities.
It must be noted that the GAT-B 2021 eligibility criteria vary for candidates belonging to reserved categories. Those candidates who do not meet the GAT-B eligibility criteria 2021 can not take admission in the respective university even if they pass the entrance examination. Therefore, candidates are highly suggested checking the GAT-B 2021 eligibility criteria before applying for the admission
GAT-B Eligibility Criteria 2021 – M.Sc
To be eligible for admission to M.Sc programs, candidates must have completed their graduation in a 10+2+3 pattern in the respective field with a minimum of 55% aggregate from a recognized university.
GAT-B Eligibility Criteria 2021 – M.Tech
To meet the GAT-B 2021 eligibility criteria for M.tech programs, candidates are required to have a B.Tech/BE degree in the respective stream with a minimum aggregate laid by the participating university.
GAT-B Eligibility Criteria 2021 – M.VSc Animal Biotechnology
As per the GAT-B 2021 eligibility criteria of the M.VSc Animal Biotechnology program, candidates must have a B.V. Sc. & A.H. degree or an equivalent degree from a recognized university with a minimum CGPA of 6.60 on a 10.00 scale or 2.60 on a 4.00 scale or 60% marks in the traditional system. Candidates belonging to reserved categories (SC/ST) are required to have a 5.60 on 10.00 scale, 2.20 on 4.00 scale, and 50% marks.
The GAT-B entrance test is conducted for a total duration of 3 hours (180 minutes). The varsity will make the mock test link available a few days before the commencement of the entrance exam.
