The Odisha Police has released a notification for the recruitment of over 2800 positions in the Special Striking Force. Interested candidates can find key information regarding the application process, available vacancies, eligibility requirements, and monthly salary details below.
Eligibility requirements:
Applicants must ensure they meet the following qualifications prior to applying for the OSSF recruitment.
- For Non-Commissioned Officers/Sepoys:
- Must be a retired Army/CAPF personnel.
- Must have retired within five years as of November 20, 2024.
- Must have received an honorable discharge from their service.
- For Ministerial staff:
- Must be a retired Army/Air Force/Navy/Coast Guard/CAPF personnel.
- Must have retired within five years as of November 20, 2024.
- Must have received an honorable discharge from their service.
- Maximum Age Limits:
- Hav/Nk/LNk – 50 years as of November 20, 2024.
- Sepoy – 45 years as of November 20, 2024.
- According to the official notice, no OSSF personnel will be eligible for employment within OSSF or for further engagement upon reaching the age of 60 years.
Required Documents:
Candidates must submit their applications using the specified forms filled out completely, along with original copies and self-attested photocopies of the following documents upon arrival for engagement:
- Pension payment order.
- Discharge Book (for Ex-Army/Ex-Air Force/Ex-Navy and equivalent for Ex-Coast Guard/Ex-CAPF).
- Ex-Servicemen Identity Card (for Army/Air Force/Navy and equivalent for Coast Guard/CAPF).
- Aadhar card.
Engagement Schedule:
Engagement will take place every Monday at 7 AM at SOG Headquarters, Chandaka, Bhubaneswar. If a holiday coincides with that day, the engagement will be rescheduled to the next working day.
Nature of Employment:
The engagement of OSSF personnel will be strictly on a term basis.
a) The duties of OSSF personnel will primarily involve anti-naxal operations or other assignments in Odisha as determined by the DGP of Odisha periodically.
c) Initially, the engagement of OSSF personnel will last for one year and may be extended for an additional year in suitable or deserving cases, or until reaching the age of 60 years, whichever occurs first.
d) If the engaged individual is deemed unsuitable at a later stage, their engagement may be terminated with a 30-day notice.
