Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s flagship initiative, Pariksha Pe Charcha (PPC), has been successfully organized by the Ministry of Education in collaboration with MyGov since 2018. It has been awarded the Guinness World Record for the “Most people registered on a Citizen Engagement Platform in one month,” as stated in a release on Monday.
This recognition honors the remarkable achievement of 3.53 crore valid registrations obtained during the eighth edition of the program, which was hosted on the MyGov platform.
Pariksha Pe Charcha is a distinctive global platform conceived and led by Prime Minister Modi, where he engages directly with students, teachers, and parents. The initiative transforms the examination period into a celebration of positivity, preparation, and meaningful learning, turning exams into a time of encouragement rather than anxiety.
The official Guinness World Record certificate was formally presented at a ceremony held in New Delhi. The event was attended by Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan; Union Minister of Electronics and Information Technology, Railways and Information & Broadcasting Ashwini Vaishnaw; Union Minister of State for Electronics and IT, Jitin Prasada; Secretary of the Department of School Education and Literacy, Sanjay Kumar; CEO of MyGov, Nand Kumarum; and senior officials from the Ministries of Education and Electronics and IT, along with other key stakeholders. The record was validated and announced by Rishi Nath, the official adjudicator of Guinness World Records.
On this occasion, Dharmendra Pradhan remarked that under the visionary guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Pariksha Pe Charcha has been redefined as a national strategy for examinations, transforming stress into a celebration of learning. Pradhan noted that the 8th edition of PPC achieved a remarkable total of 21 crore viewership across all media platforms in 2025. The significant participation in PPC 2025 is viewed as a testament to the nation’s collective dedication to holistic and inclusive education, aligning with the vision of a Viksit Bharat, he stated.
In his address, Ashwini Vaishnaw described Pariksha Pe Charcha as a distinctive initiative by PM Narendra Modi that unites students, parents, and teachers to foster well-being and promote stress-free learning. He emphasized the diverse career opportunities available to students during this Amrit Kaal. Furthermore, he mentioned that the Guinness World Record for the highest registrations reflects the strong public confidence in the initiative.
Jitin Prasada also praised MyGov for its initiatives aimed at enhancing participatory governance. He noted that the Guinness World Record underscores how MyGov has utilized technology to enhance citizen engagement and expand the reach of Pariksha Pe Charcha across the nation.
The NEP 2020 advocates for stress-free and enjoyable learning experiences. It promotes a shift from rote learning to the development of critical cognitive skills through experiential learning. Since its inception, Pariksha Pe Charcha has grown into a nationwide movement that converts examinations into avenues for self-expression and personal growth. Through direct interactions, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addresses significant challenges such as time management, digital distractions, mindfulness, and emotional resilience, offering practical advice and encouragement to students, parents, and educators alike.
The accomplishment of PPC 2025 represents a shared success, and the Ministers have expressed gratitude to all stakeholders, educational institutions, and citizens who played a role in this significant milestone. The dedication to enhancing participatory governance and comprehensive education is unwavering.
The programme’s emphasis on inclusivity, digital accessibility, and innovative strategies guarantees its ongoing success as a fundamental element of student engagement in India. With every year that goes by, PPC reiterates the notion that examinations are not a conclusion but rather a new beginning.
