The School Education Department, Punjab, will deliver online classes for students of class 1-12 in association with the DD Punjabi television channel. The classes will commence from May 5, 2021 onwards.
The TV channel DD Punjabi will deliver classes for students from class 1-5 from 9 am to 10:40 am. However, for students of class 6-12, the classes will be televised from 10:40 am to 4 pm. The school principal and the concerned teachers will send the daily schedule of these classes to the students one day in advance.
This step has been taken to limit the academic loss due to the COVID-19 crisis.
In addition, the Punjab Education Department has also developed the Punjab Educare app, through which the teachers have uploaded their lectures. The students of government schools and other schools affiliated with the Punjab School Education Board (PSEB), will be able to take benefit of online classes through DD Punjabi.
