The Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) based in Ajmer has published the exam schedule for several roles as part of the recruitment cycle for 2026. Candidates are encouraged to commence their preparations and take note of the important dates, as the schedule features examinations for deputy commandant, lecturer, and multiple assistant director roles. A press release has provided tentative dates for these assessments, which cover a range of departments such as home, AYUSH, energy, public health engineering, among others.
As stated by the RPSC chairman, the calendar has been made available well ahead of time to allow candidates ample opportunity for preparation. The initial examination is set to take place in January, with the schedule extending through the final week of December. After a gap of nearly six years, the Commission has reinstated the use of technology in the examination process to mitigate problems like paper leaks and irregularities. All assessments will be conducted online, promoting enhanced transparency and fairness in the recruitment process, as highlighted in the announcement.
The first examination conducted by RPSC in 2026 is scheduled for January 11 for the position of deputy commandant within the home department. Following this, the lecturer exam for the Ayurveda Department will occur on January 12, also in a fully online format. Screening tests for additional departments are planned to take place by the end of January.
Key Dates:
–Lecturer (Ayurveda Department): January 12, 2026 – Online
–Assistant Electrical Inspector: February 1, 2026 – Computer-based
–Sub-Inspector & Platoon Commander (Home Department): April 5, 2026
–School Lecturer & Coach (School Education Department): May 31 – June 16, 2026
–Senior Teacher (Secondary Education Department): July 12 – 18, 2026
For the first time, the Commission has designated several reserve dates—April 26, May 3, November 29, December 6, and December 27. These dates will be employed if the government announces significant new recruitments, such as RAS or REET, or if an examination must be rescheduled due to internet issues or emergencies at the district level.
RPSC Chairman Utkal Ranjan Sahu emphasized that a minimum interval of two to three months will now be upheld between examinations, providing candidates with sufficient time for preparation and review. Furthermore, One-Time Registration (OTR) has been made compulsory, simplifying the application process by removing the need for repetitive form-filling and improving the security of candidates’ information.
