The Railway Recruitment Board has updated the exam dates for the RRB ALP 2026. Candidates intending to take the Assistant Loco Pilot computer-based examination can find the revised dates on the official websites of the respective regional RRBs.
According to the official announcement, the Assistant Loco Pilot exam is scheduled for February 13, 16, 17, and 18, 2026. The duration of the exam is 60 minutes, during which a total of 75 questions will be posed for a total of 75 marks. There will be a negative marking scheme of 1/3rd of the marks deducted for each incorrect answer.

The minimum qualifying percentages for eligibility are as follows: UR & EWS – 40%, OBC (NCL) – 30%, SC – 30%, ST – 25%. This criterion also applies to candidates from the Ex-Servicemen category, according to their respective communities. The CBT-1 will serve solely as a screening test to shortlist eligible candidates for CBT-2 based on their normalized scores and merit. Screening will be conducted based on merit in CBT-1 among candidates who have selected the same RRB.
