The Railway Recruitment Boards has annulled the RRB JE CBT 2 exam conducted on April 22 for shift 2. Candidates who participated in the exam can view the official announcement on the Railway Recruitment Boards’ website.
The exam was canceled after it was discovered that certain questions from shift 1 were repeated in shift 2 of the CBT-2, due to unintentional errors in the software system.
According to the official notice, “RRBs implement a system to maintain the highest standards of confidentiality in producing, processing, storing, encrypting, and managing question sets. This process ensures no human involvement in question paper preparation and delivery to examination centers, using a software-driven approach. Consequently, the exam conducted in the second shift on April 22, 2025, has been canceled, and a new date for the exam will be announced shortly.”
The new date for the CBT 2 exam for the affected candidates will be communicated in due course. The second stage computer-based test for RRB JE took place on April 22, 2025, and the provisional answer key has been made available. Candidates can raise objections until April 30, 2025, with a fee of Rs.50/- plus applicable Bank Service Charges per question. If any objection is deemed valid, the fee paid for those valid objections will be refunded to the candidate after deducting the applicable Bank Charges, with the refund processed back to the account used for the original online payment.
Candidates who pass the second stage CBT will need to attend document verification and a medical exam. The selection of candidates for the document verification will be based on the normalized marks obtained in the second stage CBT. For further details, candidates can visit the official website of RRBs.
