SiB iFellowship in medical device opens for UG & PG students

Applications are invited from Under Graduate (UG) and Post Graduate (PG) students for iFellowship in Medical Device. Applicants with ‘remarkable track record of innovation, passion and entrepreneurship’ will be given preference, however, anyone can apply. The stipend amount is Rs. 60000/- per month.

The iFellowship is an initiative of School of International Biodesign (SiB) set-up by All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi and Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi, New Delhi.

Students pursuing Under Graduate and Post Graduate programs in the streams of medicine, engineering, product design, MBA, and other related disciplines can apply. They will work together to develop innovative solutions to resolve the clinical needs at AIIMS.

The duration of fellowship shall be effective for one year starting March 2021.

While students from any stream can apply, preference will be given to candidates who have “demonstrated a track record of innovation, passion for entrepreneurship and are willing to work in a team to create social impact through innovative product realisation and commercialisation,” as per the official notice.

The selection will be made on the basis of interview to be conducted in February 2021. The candidates will be called iFellows and will be mentored by faculty members who are from AIIMS New Delhi, IIT Delhi, MedTech Industry, start-ups, academia, and hospitals. The iFellowship also offers post-fellowship support to promising innovators.

Last date for submission of iFellowship application is 25 January 2021.
