The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has issued the notification and initiated the online registration and application process for the Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL) Examination 2025. Candidates may submit their applications for SSC CHSL 2025 until July 18 at ssc.gov.in.
Important dates and details that candidates should be aware of are as follows:
- Dates for submitting online applications: June 23 to July 18 (11 pm)
- Final date and time for online fee payment: July 19 (11 pm)
- Dates for correcting application forms and paying correction fees: July 23 to 24 (11 pm)
- Schedule for tier-I (Computer Based Examination): September 8 to 18
- Schedule for tier-II (Computer Based Examination): February-March, 2026

This year, the SSC CHSL examination will be held for approximately 3,131 vacancies. The final count of vacancies will be confirmed later, and any updates regarding vacancies, including post and category-wise breakdown, will be published on ssc.gov.in in due course, as stated by the SSC.
The commission has clarified that it does not gather state and zone-wise vacancy information and has advised candidates to contact the user department for such details.
Candidates must be aged between 18 and 27 years as of January 1, 2026, which means only those born on or after January 2, 1999, and on or before January 1, 2008, are eligible to apply. Relaxation in the upper age limit will be provided to candidates from reserved categories in accordance with regulations.
For the Data Entry Operator (DEO)/ DEO Grade ‘A’ positions in the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution, Ministry of Culture, and Staff Selection Commission, candidates are required to have completed Class 12 in the Science stream with Mathematics as a subject.
For the LDC/JSA and DEO/DEO Grade ‘A’ (excluding DEOs in Department/Ministry) positions, candidates must have completed Class 12.
Individuals who have taken their Class 12th board examination are also eligible to apply, provided they hold the necessary qualifications by or before January 1, 2026.
The application fee for the SSC CHSL 2025 is ₹100. However, women, SC, ST, PwBD, and Ex-servicemen (ESM) candidates who qualify for reservation are not required to pay the application fee.
