The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has declared that approximately 59,500 candidates who experienced technical difficulties during the Selection Posts Phase-XIII Examination 2025, conducted from July 24 to August 2, will have the opportunity to take a re-examination on August 29. As per the official announcement, the examination will be held in three separate shifts.
In its notification, the Commission stated, “Concerning the rescheduling of around 59,500 candidates for the Selection Posts/Phase-XIII Examination-2025 on 29.08.2025, it is informed that the city details for these candidates were made available on 22.08.2025.”
Furthermore, it was mentioned that these candidates can download their admit cards starting from 26.08.2025 by logging into the designated login module on the Commission’s website at ssc.gov.in, from 5 pm onwards. Additionally, candidates will receive notifications via e-mail and SMS from their respective regional offices.
The admit cards for the rescheduled examination have already been released, and candidates can retrieve them through the candidate portal on the SSC website. The Commission recommended that any issues regarding admit cards should be directed to the relevant Regional Offices.
During a press briefing, SSC Chairman S. Gopalakrishnan stated, “A comprehensive log analysis has been conducted, and approximately 59,000 candidates have been identified for whom three special exam shifts have been arranged on August 29, 2025.”
Reports indicate that he also confirmed the postponement of the Combined Graduate Level (CGL) Examination 2025, which was initially set for August 13, to mid-September to ensure that the technical issues are adequately addressed. “The involved entities, whether the ECA (exam conducting agency) or the content providers, are bound by strict service-level agreements and will face significant penalties for any failures in performance,” he added.
The announcements were made a day following a protest by thousands of SSC aspirants and coaching instructors at Delhi’s Ramlila Maidan regarding ongoing exam disruptions.
The chairman confirmed that the recent computer-based examinations for stenographer positions, held from August 6 to 8, were carried out without significant problems. He assured candidates that any disruptions would be resolved prior to the rescheduled CGL exam in September.
