Pradeep Singh – UPSC Topper 2019-20

The prestigious Civil Services examination was topped by Pradeep Singh. About 829 candidates were recommended to the services this time. UPSC 2019 Mains were held from 20th September 2019 onwards while the interview took place in the months of February, March and July 2020.
Chirag Falor – JEE Advanced 2020 Topper

Pune boy Chirag Falor topped the JEE Advanced 2020. He scored 352 marks out of 396 marks. Chirag was earlier congratulated by PM Modi when he received the Bal Puraskar award.
Shoyeb Aftab – NEET Topper 2020

Odisha’s Soyeb Aftab created history with a perfect 720/720. He is the first student in the history of NEET to score 100% and also the first student from Odisha to top the NEET exam.
Ranjitsinh Disale – Won US $1 million Global Teacher Prize 2020

Ranjitsinh Disale, a primary school teacher from the Solapur village in Maharashtra, won the US $1 million Global Teacher Prize 2020. He was selected in the final 10 from over 12,000 nominations and applications from over 140 countries. Global Teacher Prize is founded by the Varkey Foundation, and organized in partnership with UNESCO.
Jasbinder Bilan – Winner of UK based Costa Children’s Award

India-born author and a schoolteacher Jasbinder Bilan won the UK based Costa Children’s Award 2019 for her debut novel ‘Asha and the Spirit Bird’. She received 5,000 pounds as prize money associated with the award.
Gitanjali Rao – Named the first-ever ‘Kid of the Year’ by the iconic TIME magazine

The Indian-American young scientist and inventor, Gitanjali Rao, was named as the first-ever ‘Kid of the Year’ by the iconic TIME magazine. She was acknowledged for her innovations and “innovation workshops” she conducts across the globe. This is the first time that the TIME magazine has launched the Kid of The Year” award.
Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ – Won Vatayan Lifetime Achievement Award

Union Education Minister Shri Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ was conferred with the Vatayan Lifetime Achievement Award.The award is the recognition for his writings and literature and also for Indian values and tradition reflected in his writings.
Abhijit Banerjee – Conferred the honorary Doctor of Letters (D.Litt.) by Calcutta University

Nobel laureate Abhijit Vinayak Banerjee was conferred the honorary Doctor of Letters (D.Litt.) by Calcutta University at its annual convocation in Kolkata. An Indian-American economist Abhijit Banerjee is currently the Ford Foundation International Professor of Economics at Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
