The Tamil Nadu Directorate of Government Examinations (DGE) has released the final results for the HSC +2 or 12th grade exams. Students can access their results at dge.tn.gov.in and tnresults.nic.in.
To view the results online, students must enter their registration number and date of birth (formatted as DD/MM/YYYY).
This year, approximately 237285 candidates took the Tamil Nadu HSC +2 exam in the Commerce stream, comprising 114985 boys and 122300 girls. In total, 103629 boys and 116278 girls (219907 combined) successfully passed the examination. The pass rate for boys in this stream stands at 90.12 per cent, while for girls it is 95.08 per cent. The overall pass rate for the Commerce stream is 92.68 per cent.
TN HSC +2 Results 2025: Procedure to check results
To access the Tamil Nadu HSC results, students should follow these steps:
- Visit tnresults.nic.in.
- Click on the HSC or +2 or 12th result link available on the homepage.
- Enter the required details in the login window.
- Submit the information to view the result.
- Save the result page for future reference.
Private institutions have achieved the highest pass rates in this year’s HSC exams:
- GOVERNMENT: 91.94 per cent
- AIDED: 95.71 per cent
- PRIVATE: 98.88 per cent of students passed.
The Art stream had the fewest candidates, with a total of 4984 boys and 6427 girls (11411 total) participating in the exam. Among them, 3803 boys and 5657 girls (a total of 9460) successfully passed the exam. The pass percentage for boys is 76.30 per cent, while for girls it is 88.02 per cent. The overall pass rate for this stream is 82.90 per cent.
The TNDGE conducted the Higher Secondary second-year examinations between March 3 and 25, 2025. The exams were administered in single shifts from 10:15 am to 1:15 pm. The first-year HSC examination occurred from March 5 to 27, also in single shifts from 10:15 am to 1:15 pm.
