The Department of School Education, Telangana has released the notification for the Teachers’ Eligibility Test (TET) for the January session at schooledu.telangana.gov.in. Registration for the TG TET has also started. Interested students can visit the official website at schooledu.telangana.gov.in or tgtet2024.aptonline.in/tgtet and apply after creating an account on the portal.
According to the official notification, the TS TET 2024 (II) exam is scheduled from January 1 to January 20. Candidates must submit their TGTET 2024 applications by November 20. This year, the examination will be conducted in a computer-based mode. The TS TET exam determines qualification to teach Classes 1 to 8 in government, Mandal Parishad, Zilla Parishad, and both private aided and unaided schools across Telangana.
Candidates who have completed or are in their final year of a teaching diploma program (DElEd, DEd, or BEd) or hold equivalent qualifications like language pandit certifications are eligible. Candidates who previously appeared for the TS TET exam can retake it to improve their scores. The Department of School Education in Telangana conducts the TET 2024 exam twice a year, in two phases. This year, the first phase occurred in May, with approximately 235,000 candidates participating. Of these, around 109,000 successfully passed the exam.
