The Union Public Service Commission has announced a delay in the release of the UPSC Civil Services Exam 2026 notification, along with the Indian Forest Service notification. Candidates are advised to refer to the official notice available on the UPSC website at upsc.gov.in.
Originally, the notification for the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination, 2026, and the Indian Forest Service (Preliminary) Examination, 2026, was set to be released today, January 14, but this has now been postponed.
According to the official notice, “The Notification of Civil Services Examination, 2026, and Indian Forest Service Examination, 2026, which was scheduled for notification on 14.01.2026, has been postponed due to administrative reasons and will be announced in due course.”
Previously, the registration period for both examinations was planned from January 14 to February 3, 2026, in accordance with the annual calendar. The preliminary examination was slated for May 24, 2026.
