The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has published the schedule for the CAPF ACs Recruitment Examination 2025. Candidates who are set to take the recruitment exam for 357 Assistant Commandants (ACs) within the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) can view the timetable on the official website at upsc.gov.in.
According to the official announcement, the UPSC CAPF ACs Exam 2025 is scheduled for August 3, 2025. The examination will take place in two sessions. The General Ability and Intelligence (Objective) paper will be administered from 10 AM to 12 noon, while the General Studies, Essay & Comprehension (Conventional) paper will occur from 2 PM to 5 PM.
It is important to note that the recruitment examination is being held for a total of 357 vacancies for Assistant Commandants (ACs). The breakdown of vacancies is as follows:
- BSF: 24 vacancies
- CRPF: 204 vacancies
- CISF: 92 vacancies
- ITBP: 4 vacancies
- SSB: 33 vacancies
- Total: 357 vacancies
Additionally, it should be noted that the UPSC CAPF ACs Admit cards will be available on the last working day of the week preceding the examination date at upsconline.gov.in.
Among the two papers, the General Ability and Intelligence paper will be worth 250 marks. This paper will consist of objective (multiple-choice) questions, which will be presented in both English and Hindi.
The second paper, General Studies, Essay and Comprehension, will be allocated 200 marks, allowing candidates the choice to write the essay portion in either English or Hindi. However, the medium for the precis writing, comprehension sections, and other language skills will be exclusively in English.

What follows after the written examination?
Candidates who pass the written exam will proceed to the Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Physical Standards Test (PST), Interview/Personality Test, and Medical Standards Test.
