The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the final results for the Combined Defence Services (CDS) 2 examination for 2024, which can be accessed at upsc.gov.in.
A total of 349 candidates have successfully qualified based on their performance in the CDS 2 examination conducted by UPSC, along with the interviews conducted by the Service Selection Board (SSB).
The commission has compiled three separate merit lists for the Indian Military Academy, Indian Naval Academy, and the Air Force Academy, noting that some candidates appear on more than one list.
According to the UPSC notification, the number of candidates who qualified in the written examination for the three academies was 2,534, 900, and 613, respectively. These candidates were subsequently eligible to participate in the interview phase.
It is important to note that the UPSC did not factor in the results of the medical examination when creating the merit lists.
The UPSC has indicated that the verification of candidates’ dates of birth and educational qualifications is currently ongoing at Army Headquarters, and the status of the shortlisted candidates remains provisional. Selected individuals are required to submit original certificates verifying their date of birth, educational qualifications, and other relevant documents, along with photocopies and attested copies, to the respective Army, Naval, or Air headquarters based on their first choice.
Candidates’ marks will be published on the UPSC website following the final results of the Officers Training Academy (OTA) course under the CDS 2 examination for 2025, as stated by the UPSC.
For additional information, candidates may reach out to the UPSC Facilitation Counter at the commission’s office or call 011-23385271, 011-23381125, or 011-23098543 between 10 am and 5 pm on working days.
