The Union Public Service Commission has published the list of candidates whose applications have been rejected for the UPSC Civil Services Preliminary Examination 2025. Individuals who have registered for the Civil Services Prelims can access this list on the official UPSC website at upsc.gov.in.
The rejection of applications was primarily due to the non-receipt of the application fee of ₹100 from the bank. A total of 43 candidates have had their applications rejected for failing to pay the required fee.
According to the official announcement, candidates wishing to appeal their rejection must do so within 10 days, submitting the necessary documents (original hard copies) such as the system-generated challan or a copy of the debit/credit card statement or bank account statement, either by speed post or in person to Smt. Kiran K. Arora, Under Secretary (CSP), Union Public Service Commission, Examination Hall Building, Hall No. 2, 4th Floor, Dholpur House, Shahjahan Road, New Delhi- 110069.
All appeals must reach the Commission’s office by March 17, 2025. If valid documentary evidence is not submitted by this deadline, the application will not be eligible for reconsideration.
The UPSC Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination 2025 is scheduled for May 25, 2025. This examination will consist of two objective-type papers (multiple choice questions) and will carry a total of 400 marks. It is intended solely as a screening test; the marks obtained in the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination will not be included in the final merit ranking for candidates who qualify for the Civil Services (Main) Examination.
This year, the Commission aims to fill approximately 979 vacancies across various services through the Civil Services Examination. For further information, candidates are encouraged to visit the official UPSC website.
