The registration date for the 2025 Civil Services Preliminary Examination has been extended once more by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). Applicants can now apply via upsc.gov.in and upsconline.gov.in until February 21 at 6 p.m.
The registration date for the UPSC CSE preliminary exam in 2025 was initially set for February 11 and was later moved to February 18.
The deadline for CS(P)-2025 and IFoS(P)-2025 submissions has been further extended until February 21, 2025, at 6:00 PM. Additionally, according to the most recent announcement, the seven-day correction window will now be accessible from February 22, 2025, to February 28, 2025.
Through CSE 2025, UPSC will fill approximately 979 positions in a variety of services.
One-Time Registration (OTR) profile creation is required of all applicants prior to exam application. Those who have made an OTR profile can fill out the application form directly, and the profile is valid for life.
Regarding the 2025 UPSC CSE exam

A bachelor’s degree or its equivalent is the minimal educational requirement to sit for the UPSC CSE 2025. - Candidates may submit a provisional application if their graduating degree exam results are still pending. They must demonstrate that they passed the qualifying exam if they are eligible for an interview or personality test.
- Applicants with degrees in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, or a related field must provide documentation of their internship completion.
- Applicants with medical or other professional credentials who have not yet finished their internship may make a provisional appearance for UPSC CSE 2025.
- They must present their degree diploma and evidence of internship completion at the interview.
- Candidates must be at least 21 years old and no older than 32 on August 1, 2025. For candidates in the reserve category, the upper age limit will be loosened.
- ₹100 is the application fee. The application price is waived for candidates who are female, SC, ST, or have a benchmark disability.
- Candidates in the unreserved category may take the UPSC CSE up to six times. OBC applicants are allowed to take the test nine times.
