The Union Public Service Commission issued a significant announcement on Thursday for candidates preparing for the UPSC Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination 2025, accessible on its official website at upsc.gov.in.
This announcement is specifically geared towards candidates with benchmark disabilities (PwBD) and persons with disabilities (PwD) who have chosen to utilize the Scribe facility, whether their own or one provided by the Commission.
According to the notice, candidates wishing to change their scribe for the upcoming Civil Services Prelims exam 2025 can submit their request to the Commission, along with the necessary details of the new scribe, by May 18 at 4 PM via the Commission’s email at uscsp-upsc@nic.in.
The UPSC has planned the Civil Services Preliminary Examination (UPSC Prelims) for May 25. The prelims will occur in two sessions on the same day—one for Paper 1 (General Studies) and the other for Paper 2 (CSAT). Both papers are in objective format and serve as an initial assessment for the subsequent stage.
After the prelims, the UPSC Mains 2025 is tentatively set to commence on August 22, 2025. This date may change, and candidates should frequently visit the UPSC website for official updates.
Additionally, the notice clarified that the Commission will not consider any requests sent to alternative email addresses or those submitted after the deadline of 4 PM on May 18. Candidates are encouraged to strictly follow this instruction to ensure that their requests are handled appropriately.
