The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) announced the preliminary results for the Engineering Services Examination (ESE) 2025 on June 20. Candidates can access the UPSC ESE prelims 2025 results at upsc.gov.in. The preliminary examination for UPSC ESE 2025 took place on June 8.
Those candidates who have qualified in the UPSC ESE prelims for civil engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, and electronics and telecom engineering will need to sit for the ESE main examination. The ESE Mains is scheduled for August 10. The UPSC will provide the admit cards for the UPSC ESE mains 2025 for download from the Commission’s website approximately one week prior to the examination.

Step 2: Click on the link for the UPSC ESE prelims result pertaining to the engineering service exam.
Step 3: Review the UPSC ESE 2025 prelims result and verify your roll number.
Step 4: Download the UPSC ESE prelims 2025 result for your records.
The marks and cut-off scores for the Engineering Services (Preliminary) Examination 2025 will be published on the Commission’s website – upsc.gov.in once the entire UPSC ESE 2025 process is concluded, following the announcement of the final results.
Additionally, the Commission has established a facilitation counter at its premises. Candidates can seek any information and clarification regarding their examination and results on working days from 10 am to 5 pm, either in person or by calling the telephone numbers (011) – 23388088/ 23385271/ 23381125/ 23098543 from this counter.
The UPSC ESE consists of three stages – prelims, mains, and a personality test. The Commission conducts the UPSC ESE to recruit engineers for various technical roles within central government departments and organizations. Recruitment for the Indian Railway Management Service (IRMS) will also occur through the ESE for the Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Signal and Telecommunication, and Stores sub-cadres.
